As part of the ongoing Evolution in Travis Perkins IT, the Service Awareness Initiative will provide the building blocks to implement the vision of a Service based IT operation. End to End Delivery teams will be aligned to business functions, offering a highly responsive and proactive IT service to the business. The initiative will result in quality improvements with greater awareness of performance against metrics and the ability to lead change based on timely and accurate information.

Azation provided project management expertise for this initiative to ensure the key deliverables have been achieved and benefits have been realised. The project has significantly increased coverage of server Discovery, run an evaluation for a Service mapping tool and co-ordinated initial implementation of the Service Catalogue. In addition, we have supported an updated delivery approach based around Service pillars as the basis to drive the initiative forward.

Andrew Beardmore, Senior Project Manager at Travis Perkins said “Working with Azation has enabled us to utilise flexible, experienced Project Management resource to drive forward evaluation of tools and techniques to embed new capabilities into our service delivery arena. Additionally, their assistance in planning out the way ahead has helped in forming an integrated approach to the changes we need to make”.
